There will be a minimum bid and you must bid at least $1 more than previous bid. You can see the last bid and can keep an eye on your item from week to week. HAVE FUN!

The highest bidder by 5:00 pm on Wednesday October 7, 2020 will be the winner of the item that we will announce via a video link on the date the Walk was scheduled (October 10, 2020 at 10:00am). The winner can pick up the item at The Iris Network at 189 Park Avenue by noon the same day, or we can ship the item(s) to their home once a check, charge, or cash is received. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!! Know that all proceeds go to help The Iris Network serve people who are blind or visually impaired with independent living and vocational skills as well as supportive services for low vision and housing in Portland.

This year, we will not be holding our Walk event on the campus of The Iris Network as we have in years past. Instead for everyone’s safety during the pandemic, we will provide all registrants with a video link to be played on Saturday morning, October 10, 2020 at 10:00am with all the information we would have provided at the event as well as an announcement of the winners of auction items. We will miss seeing your smiling faces and walking together, but since the Walk will be held “virtually” this year, we are suggesting that individuals who are able, couples, or families who have been sheltering-in-place together this year, walk on their own through Deering Oaks Park at any time, so we practice social distancing and don’t gather as a large group, following Maine CDC guidelines.

More than ever before, we need our community to take action this year in support of our neighbors who are blind or visually impaired. Please register, donate, bid in the auction, and share this with friends and family to spread the word around! Without you, we truly couldn’t rise to the challenges we are all facing. This is our biggest annual fundraising event, so we’re counting on those who would have come to the event to register for the Walk or provide a donation
