The Iris Network Resource Directory:
This directory contains many useful resources and information for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The directory includes contact information on vision rehabilitation services, vision medical services, transportation and other resources – including various types of information relating to vision loss. There are numerous links to websites that provide information, resources, and products relevant to vision loss.

Vision Rehabilitation Resources
This page provides information on where individuals can find and receive vision rehabilitation services. There is also information given on where individuals can receive vocational rehabilitation services which will assist them in the work place or help them identify their vocational goals and objectives. Services available will provide skill training to promote one’s independence whether they are at home, work or school.

This page provides contact information for local eye doctors and links to other medical resources that individuals may find informative.

Transportation Resources
This alphabetized list includes contact information for both national and state transportation services that are available to people living in Maine. There is a website given which individuals can visit to learn more about the transportation services provided in the state. Some of these are very diverse programs, not all individuals may qualify, and not all areas of the state are listed.

This list includes information on various topics relating to vision loss including: adaptive technology services, agencies on aging and associations relating to vision loss, talking books, catalogues containing products relating to low vision, and information relating to education for adults with visual impairments. There is also some information on recreation and leisure activities.
