The Iris Network, is a non-profit based in Portland, Maine. Our mission is to help those who are blind or visually impaired attain independence and community integration. We provide services throughout the State of Maine.
We are looking for assistance in serving Augusta and the surrounding area. You must be willing to travel up to 2 hours around Augusta! Your territory will be vast! You need to be prepared for snow and cold temperatures! You will be required to travel to Portland on occasion for companywide meetings.
To be successful in this role you must be patient, flexible, dedicated, understanding of people with disabilities, and solve problems creatively! This is a collaborative working environment. There are situations you will face that we may not have experienced before. We will work with you to develop a solution.
ENTRY LEVEL: If you are just getting started in your career, you could start as a Vision Rehabilitation Therapist – Assistant. This is a PAID INTERNSHIP! This position would be part time while you attend an accredited online program to obtain your Masters in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy (that we pay for!).
