SPRING IS IN THE AIR… 

Here at the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center (AOEC), we are gearing up for a fun season ahead with programs happening all over the state as well as new partnership programs at our AOEC Brunswick Campus!

As we get closer to the summer season we will be opening registration for Horizons Waterskiing, Water Sports Camp, a Paddle Day, Outdoor Climbing, Cooking Classes, Surfing and MORE! In the meantime, check out what’s happening below!

AOEC x L.L. Bean Open House

Save the Date – May 24, 2022 

We are partnering with L.L. Bean and their Outdoor Discovery Program to host a day of recreation exploration! Come try out some fun activities like casting and archery, and learn about the different outdoor programs that both the AOEC and L.L. Bean offer.

Horizons Climbing 

This program is open to all abilities and ages!

EVO ROCK + FITNESS, PORTLAND

Sessions run from 3:30 – 5:30pm.

MAINE BOUND ADVENTURE CENTER, ORONO 
We will be wrapping up our program for the school year later this month! Don’t miss out on one last session on April 18th, 4:30pm – 6:00pm.

Horizons Equine Program 

We are collaborating with The Horse Barn in Norridgewock, ME to provide an inclusive equine program! This is a 4-week program geared towards adults of all abilities.

Get ready for some fun on the water this summer! We will be running the Horizons Sailing Program at SailMaine:

  • Mondays 1pm – 4pm and 4pm – 7pm
  • Thursdays 1pm – 4pm

AOEC Brunswick Programming 

HORIZONS MUSIC: Music Exploration with Maine Music & Health
Fridays at 10:30am 
Join us for an interactive music exploration with Kate Beever of Maine Music + Health. We will play, sing, and collaborate in a fun and inclusive program open to all ages and abilities.

HORIZONS MUSIC: After school Inclusive Music with 317 Main St. 
First Thursday of Every Month at 4pm  
Join us for a fun and energetic music program with Mo Beck of 317 Main St. This program is geared towards elementary aged youth!

KEEP IT MOVING: Inclusive Movement Class with Elmhurst, Inc.
Mondays at 9am and 1pm  
Join us and our friends from Elmhurst for an inclusive guided movement class. These one-hour sessions are a low-key way to Keep It Moving! Sessions are led by Elmhurst staff.
