What’s on our Horizon…

February brought the snow, the wind, and a NATIONAL AWARD!
U.S. Sailing has awarded SailMaine and the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center (AOEC) with the 2024 Robie Pierce Award. This national award celebrates the profound impact of our collaborative efforts on making sailing more accessible and inclusive for all.
We’re so very grateful for this partnership with SailMaine!

Unified Race
March 24th
Sugarloaf Mountain
Join the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center and Carrabassett Valley Academy for a unified race at Sugarloaf! Each team will include an adaptive athlete and an Academy athlete. Each athlete races the course set on the Lower Narrow Gauge Trail. Their times are combined, and the best teams’ time determines the
results. We are excited for this inclusive racing environment, with competition, friendship, and fun at the forefront!
