BIOPTIC LENSES – Legislation has been proposed in Maine in favor of using bioptic lens systems to enable drivers in Maine with less than perfect vision to continue driving. Bioptic lenses have been used for driving since the 1970’s and are currently legal for driving in 39 states, including NY, CA and MA. The proposed draft legislation is available here
